FTE: 1.0, Shift: Variable, Schedule: Clinical Pharmacist position, with variable 8-hour shifts to cover ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, ED, Periop, and Main Pharmacy Operations. We have a 7 AM, 8 AM, 12:00 Noon, and 2:30 PM shift start times. Shift types are scheduled in a stretch for continuity of patient care and employee quality of life. There are opportunities to rotate through critical care and emergency department service areas as part of a balanced work schedule. There is a requirement to work rotating weekends (either every 2nd or every 3rd weekend, depending on staffing levels and needs.
Position Summary
The Pharmacist is an exciting professional opportunity at MultiCare, ensuring prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services for patients, nurses and physicians. This position will offer you the capacity to apply your knowledge and expertise toward supporting quality health services and patient care.
Responsibilities
You will dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions
You will manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records
You will supervise support personnel and assumes responsibility for final check of all completed work
You will assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
You will provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service
Requirements
Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in setting appropriate to work assignment (hospital, retail, clinic or other)
