Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Secretary/Technician for the Cardiac Care Unit at Overlook Medical Center to work 7:00 am - 7:30 pm including every third weekend and as needed.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Secretarial Duties: Including but not limited to answering phones, call bells, visitor intercom, supply inventory and ordering, restocking supplies, supply procurement, preparing and maintaining patient charts, tracking patient flow in and out of the unit, and filing as needed.
Patient Care Technician Duties: As directed by RN, including but not limited to ECGs, phlebotomy, glucometer testing, meal assistance, transportation, disinfecting equipment, and performing ADLs such as skin care needs, bathing, oral hygiene, and mobility. The sec/tech candidate will be flexible and patient focused, assisting with patient care and transportation as needed. Sec/Tech will be flexible with role and adjust hours to meet the needs based on fluctuating census. Must be proficient at coordination and prioritization of duties to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of patient care and work flow.
Comply with hospital policies and procedures. Attend department and Unit Rep/PCT meetings, complete all necessary training, maintain competencies and participate in quality improvement projects. Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, team members, and interdepartmentally. Ensure patient/family expectations are exceeded.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
College preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Prior administrative and/or patient care experience in health care.
Phlebotomy, ECG, glucometer and BLS certification preferred
Qualifications:
Microsoft Word and Excel required. Epic preferred.
